Alta Yates Cox, age 91 of Houston, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Silverado Memory Care, Hockley, Texas.
Born April 16, 1930, in Grundy, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Yates and Bertha Smith Yates. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Harold Cox; brothers and sister, Otis, Edith, Gusta, Loraine, and Buford.
Survivors include: Son, Terry Wilson and wife Angela of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A service for Alta Yates Cox will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the
Mausoleum, Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia, with Hobert Kennedy officiating. Entombment will follow.
The family received friends Friday evening 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral
Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia.
Serving as Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
