LEBANON, Va. — Wanda Day Warner, age 68, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Johnston Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Wanda was born October 31, 1948 in West Virginia a daughter of the late James Day and the late Irene Hicks Day. She was the wife of the late Everal Warner. She was of the Holiness Faith.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda LisaGay Warner; son, Arnold Warner; brother, Arnold Day and sister, Wilma Willuhm.
Survivors include four sisters, Trudy Kennedy, Hinton, WVA, Thelma Lambert, Tazewell, Va., Geri Dameron, Tazewell, Va. and Phyllis Russell, Caretta, WVA; four brothers: Ralph Day, Bluefield, WVA, Melvin Day, Tazewell, Va., Ray Day, Tazewell, Va. and Ernest Day, Jewell Ridge, Va.; three grandchildren, Scottie Warner, Lebanon, Hunter Hurd, Lebanon and Krista Smith, Bristol, Va.; extended family, Mike, Emily, Kelsey, Ben, Isabelle and Peggy Holmes, Amelia and Keaton Bal and Kenzie Fleenor.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 in the Combs Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. Herman Day officiating. Burial will be 12 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 in the Day-Lambert Cemetery in Jewell Ridge, Va. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
