PRINCETON — Verna Ensminger, 81, of Princeton passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Glenwood Park Retirement Home. She was born June 20, 1935 in Welch, a daughter of the late John and Roberta Stevens. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ray Ensminger and two sons: Michael & wife Suzanne, of Mt. Nebo, WV; Gary & wife Leynee, of Pipestem; grandson, Jason Bowles & wife Sara of Huntington, and great-granddaughter, Myla. Also surviving are two sisters, Johnetta Foster & husband David of North Carolina and Carolyn Long, of Princeton; several brothers and sisters-in law and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Shafer & Jerelene Hart.
She was a devoted wife and mother, and a previous employee of North American Rockwell Inc. in Princeton.
In keeping with her wishes Verna was cremated. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be conducted 10:00 AM Monday, April 3, 2017, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with brother-in-law David Foster officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton by the service hour on Monday.
