PRINCETON — Vera Beulah Lineberry Reed, 102, of Princeton died Friday, January 13, 2017 at Westwood Medical Center in Bluefield, VA.
Born August 16, 1914 in Fries, VA she was the daughter of the late Odie Alvis Lineberry and Rosie Tomason Lineberry. She was a homemaker and raised in Wilco, WV. Vera was a minister for over nine years with WLOH Radio during the 1950's and early 1960's and was also an author, at age 99 writing "Memories of A 99 Year Old Lady". She was also a member of the Princeton Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Harebell Reed; three sisters, Lena Winfrey, Alma Calfee, and Edith Walker; and two brothers, Odie Alvis Lineberry, Jr. and Edgar Paul Lineberry.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet Marie Short and husband Bernard Ray of LaPlata, MD, Juanita Carol Coleman and husband Dennis L. Coleman of Charlotte, NC and Shelby Jean Robertson and husband William D. Robertson, I of Emporia, VA; six grandchildren, Nanette Short Harn and husband Brent of Burke, VA, Rayann Short McGlamary and husband Mike of Frederick, MD, Stephanie Coleman Warren and husband Scott of Ramseur, NC, Dawn Robertson Brown and husband Jim of Narrows, VA, Holley Robertson Harris and husband Lynn of Oswego, IL, and William D. Robertson, II and wife Amanda of Emporia, VA; and fourteen great grandchildren, John Ross, Michael Turpie, Cole Turpie, Cameron McGlamary, Hayden McGlamary, Joshua Warren, Coleman Warren, Allison Warren, Jonathan Brown, Kristin Brown, Katey Harris, Cameron Harris, Izabelle Robertson and William D. Robertson, III.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Princeton Church of God, Oakvale Road, Princeton with Dr. Ray Hurt officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the church from 2:00 PM until the service hour on Saturday.
