Ruth Light Lively, 93, of Princeton died Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at her residence. Born January 12, 1924 in Marie, WV she was the daughter of the late Talmage Light and Sadie Harmon Light.
Ruth was a former owner-operator of Lively Realty Company in Princeton along with her husband and son. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil B. Lively; one son, Ronald Cecil "Sleep" Lively; and one brother, Jack Light.
Survivors include three granddaughters, Jennifer Lynn Lively of Roanoke, VA, Sarah Elizabeth Turner and husband Nathan of Princeton, and Dr. Tara Leigh Mitchell and husband Ryan of Princeton; four great grandchildren, Leigh Ann Lively, Jack Turner, Reid Mitchell, and Everleigh Mitchell; one brother, Paul "Buddy" Light and wife Julia of Marie, WV; and one sister, Mildred Wegman and husband Clarence of Cary, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Scott Sears officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 10, 2017 at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton by 9:30AM or at the cemetery by the service time. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Sunday.
