PRINCETON — Ronnie B. O'Quinn, 69, of Shadetree Circle, Princeton died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his home. Born October 13, 1947 in Gardner, WV he was the son of the late Walter Blaine O'Quinn and Sarah Ann Lowe O'Quinn.
He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam War serving fourteen months in Korea and served four years in the U.S. Army Reserves in Princeton following his regular military service. Ronnie was retired from Bluefield Beverage Company in Bluefield, VA with twenty eight years service. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Bluewell. He was also a former member of the Princeton Elks Lodge #1459 and the East River Ruritan Club.
Ronnie will be sadly missed by his dear family and his many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Hylton; and five brothers, John O'Quinn, Chester O'Quinn, Glen O'Quinn, Bobby O'Quinn and Charlie O'Quinn.
Survivors include his beloved wife of twenty four years, Kimberly Stoneburner O'Quinn of Princeton; one son, Bundy W. Amick and wife Barbie of Bluewell; two granddaughters (that were the light of his life) Brooklyn Paige Amick and Braelyn Jade Amick; one brother, Ray O'Quinn and wife Amy of Oakvale; one sister, Theona Waddell of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Bluewell with Pastor Jim Milam and Pastor Don Dinger officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton with the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Waddell, David Waddell, Wesley Waddell, Robbie O'Quinn, Mitch Coburn, and Larry Fitzwater. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be his son, Bundy W. Amick. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Thursday.
