Robert Charles's Story
KEYSTONE — Robert Charles "Bob" Bishop, 62, of 88 Church St., Keystone, WV, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at his residence. Born June 20, 1954 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Robert Charles Bishop and Joyce Bishop.
Bob was a graduate of Elder High School in Cincinnati, OH, and a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He taught in McDowell County Schools for over 30 years. He also taught at WV State University in Institute, WV. Bob was also affiliated with WV University through the HSTA Program. He was a long time member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Powhatan, WV, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and teacher. He was a resident of Keystone for the past 36 years.
Survivors include: his wife of 36 years, Lori Molin Bishop of the home. Children: Jessica Webb and husband Michael of Huntington, WV, Erin Bishop and husband Travis Sinclair of Princeton, WV, and Robert Bishop and wife Kayla Fazio of Jacksonville, FL. Three grandchildren: Elliot Webb, Spencer Webb, and Sullivan Webb all of Huntington, WV. Two brothers: Richard Bishop and wife Jennifer of Cincinnati, OH, and Randall Bishop of Pensacola, FL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11: AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Powhatan, WV, with Celebrant Father Tony Lascon. Friends may call Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Widener Funeral Home in Northfork, WV from 6 until 8: PM. Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 7:30 PM.
In honoring Bob's wishes, cremation will follow the Mass of Christian Burial Ceremony. Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell, WV.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
