CONWAY S.C. — Ralph Edward Stacy, 77 years of age of Conway, SC, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 after short illness. Born September 4, 1939 in Harman, VA, he was the son of the late Joe Stacy and Minnie Justice Stacy and graduated Grundy High School in 1958.
Ralph and his wife Irene were owners of a grocery store and barber shop in Grundy, VA for many years. They later moved to Conway, SC where Ralph worked and retired from Horry County Solid Waste Authority. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers James, Hershel, Henry and Ernest Stacy and sisters Betty Mullins, Hazel Hibbitts, and Helen Belcher and niece Janice Baxter.
Survivors include his loving wife Irene Shortridge Stacy of Conway, SC; daughters Kimberly Stacy Davis of Mebane, NC, Jennifer Michele Stacy of Raleigh, NC; son Dwayne Edward Stacy of North Myrtle Beach, SC; brother Harold Stacy and wife Debbie of Manning, SC.
He is also survived by one grandson Charles Lee Davis of High Point, NC and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Ralph Edward Stacy will be held at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Grundy, VA, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Active pallbearers will be his family and friends.
