PRINCETON Phyllis Coffey Blankenship 62 of Brookman Avenue, Princeton took her Heavenly Flight on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
Born on February 6, 1955 in Welch she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edward Coffey and Laura Facello Coffey.
Phyllis devoted her life to helping others. She had a long and rewarding career as a nurse at Princeton Community Hospital. She was called Mom by some, Nana by most and Friend by all.
She is survived by her son, Eric Blankenship and his wife Heidi of Minnesota; Grandchildren, Dusty, Josh, Dustin, Katie and Evan; Great Granddaughter, Maydlyn; Three Sisters, Carolyn Bailey of Welch, Jo Nell Riffle of Statesville, NC and Kathy Vanover and her husband Sam of Gastonia, NC. She is also survived by her partner Amanda Via and her longtime friend Cricket Phillips.
Services to celebrate the life of Phyllis Blankenship will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Danny Gunnoe officiating. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
