PRINCETON — Paul Jay Thompson, Jr., 66, of Princeton died Monday, April 10, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 7, 1951 in Princeton he was the son of the late Paul Jay Thompson, Sr. and Veda Ruth Pettrey Thompson.
Paul was a truck driver for Sealtight Corporation for several years and had been a lifelong resident of Princeton. He was a member of the Princeton Apostolic Church in Princeton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Ray Pettrey.
Survivors include his wife of forty eight years, Rita Juliette Robinette Thompson of Princeton; one daughter, Tuwana Wirtz and husband Barry of Princeton; two sons, Kelly Eugene Thompson and Jason Daniel Thompson both of Princeton; one grandson, Trent Jared Thompson Sizemore; one sister, Carol Bailey and husband Roger of Princeton; two brothers, Michael Wayne Thompson and wife Debra of Monroe, NC and Jerry Lee Thompson of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Scott Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
