DOVER, DEL. — Patrick Walsh Tabor of Dover passed away, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at home. He was 71.
Mr. Tabor was born March 13, 1946 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Trigg H. Tabor and Mary Arietta Cunningham Tabor and grew up on his family's farm on Belcher Mountain.
He was a graduate of Welch High School and McDowell Vocational School and was employed by Huppman Corp. and later at Teledyne Corp. Earth Sciences Div. in Alexandria, VA.
Upon returning to Welch, he taught at McDowell Vocational School and also served on the Governor's
Council to Improve Vocational Education. He later came into the family businesses: Superior Office Supply and Superior Printing Co. where he was a self-employed commercial printer for 38 years.
He was active in community civic affairs being active both in the Lions Club and the Moose Lodge serving a term as Lodge President. He was also active in the Mount View Band Boosters.
Mr. Tabor moved to Dover, DE in 1996 and was employed by Letica, Corp., Middletown, DE as supervisor of their printing department until his retirement.
Mr. Tabor enjoyed gardening, cooking, motorcycling, building computers and had the reputation of being able to fix and repair anything.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Danny Crigger.
He is survived by his daughter, April Gayle Christopher (Stephen) of Albright, WV; brothers, William Tabor of Dublin, OH and Joseph Tabor of Dover, DE; twin sister, Patricia Crigger of Welch, WV; grandchildren, Courtney Noel and Kiley Jo Christopher both of Albright, WV.
Memorial services will be held in West Virginia at a later date.
