Patricia Ann's Story
PRINCETON — Patricia Ann Maxey Lankford, 61, of the Old Athens Road, Princeton died suddenly early Thursday morning, March 16, 2017 at her home.
Born February 4, 1956 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Maxey & Mary Lou Jones Maxey. Patricia was a graduate of Princeton High School. For most of her life, she was a caregiver for her family and close friends. She was a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church in Princeton. While her health permitted, she enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales. She will be remembered for being devoted to her family, a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Richard Maxey, Edwin Maxey and Ronald Maxey. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her children: Jeffrey Hutchens & Chad Harris both of Greensboro, NC, Ashley Hutchens of Cross Lanes; Five grandchildren: Jayna, Riordan, Suliman, Hakeem & Abel; Uncle Ted Jones of Princeton and Uncle Clifton Jones of MD; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 19, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Gerald McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
