Ms. Estelle E.'s Story
KEYSTONE — Ms. Estelle E. "Libby" Huckleberry age 55, of Keystone, WV, who departed this life on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. Mary's Medical Center, in Huntington.
She was born February 25, 1962 in Welch, and one of ten children born to the late Finney and Catherine (Cannady) Huckleberry. She was raised in Keystone and a graduate of Northfork High School. For several years, she lived in Durham, NC, where she was employed at Duke University, before returning to Keystone to help care for her Mother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and her pastimes were spent playing cards and watching her favorite television shows.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Estelle and two of her brothers, James and Kermeth Huckleberry Sr.
Libby will be remembered as a woman who held a special love for all children, her family and especially her son, Christopher T. Huckleberry of Hoffman, NC; her siblings: Clifton E. (Dawne) Huckleberry Sr. of Bluefield, John W. Huckleberry Sr. and Shirley M. (Robert) Thompson both of Columbus, OH, Diana L. Zigler of Kimball, Dreama C. Merriweather of Graham, NC, Leila M. (John) Joyce of Suffolk, VA and Sheila R. (Willie) Giles of Waxhaw, NC; several aunts and three generations of nephews and nieces and a host of cousins.
Libby's Homegoing Celebration Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Mt. Ebenezer Baptist Church in Algoma, with Reverend Tim Hairston, presiding, Minister Walter Huckleberry, Prophetess Renee Jefferson and Evangelist Shelia Smith assisting and Apostle Roger Walton, eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest lawn Memorial Gardens, Rt. 20, in Bluewell.
Pallbearers: Dana Cannady, David Dickerson, Clifton Huckleberry Jr., Kermeth Huckleberry Jr., Tony Huckleberry, Damien Jackson and honorary pallbearer, Damien Huckleberry.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., until time of Service at the Church.
