Milgram Raymond Sutphin, 71, of School Street, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at his home, with his wife by his side, after a long battle with cancer.
Born on December 2, 1945 in Wytheville, VA, he was a son of the late Willie and Sybil Hall Sutphin. He was a welder for Norkfolk-Southern Railroad and attended Deliverance Temple. He was a veteran of the US Navy and enjoyed fishing and bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Sutphin.
Survivors include: Wife: Geraldine Hawley Sutphin of the home; 2 daughters: Susie Sutphin Rogers and husband Carl of Bluefield, WV, Nicole Nipper and husband Gary of Bluefield, VA; Grandson: Zackery Nipper; Brother:Troy Sutphin of NC; Sister: Judy Sutphin of Boston, MA.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 3:00PM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton with Homer Moore officiating. Burial will follow. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at the service time.
