PRINCETON — Michael Keith Nelson, 55, of N. Wickham Avenue in Princeton died suddenly Monday, March 20, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born January 20, 1962 in Princeton he was the son of the late Henry M. Nelson and Tiney Bowers Nelson.
Michael was a former furniture deliveryman and a devoted fan of the Oakland Raiders. He was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church in Oakvale and had been a lifelong resident of the Princeton area.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, George T. Nelson; and one nephew, Christopher Robbins.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Nelson of Princeton; two daughters, Christene Lee Nelson and Tiffany Rhinehart and husband Adam all of Princeton; one son, James Nelson and wife Crystal of Princeton; Teresa and Matt Thomas (who were like his own); five grandchildren, Julia Rhinehart, Lucas Rhinehart, Nicholas Rhinehart, Michael "Mickie" Isaac, and Paxton Branch Nelson; one brother, James Nelson and wife Shelby of Green Valley; two sisters, Gladys Robbins and husband Lloyd, and Brenda Smith and husband Dale all of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Faith Baptist Church in Oakvale with Pastor Terry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at the Elgood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Barton, Josh Robbins, Jason Robbins, Billy White, Jeff Thompson, and Zachary Thompson. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Friday.
