BALLARD, WV Maude Frances Spangler, age 95 of Ballard, went to her heavenly home Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg, VA. Born April 6, 1922 at Ballard she was the daughter of the late Walter and Modie Mann. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arch "Tince" Spangler, Jr., granddaughter, Rebecca Sibold, four brothers, and seven sisters.
Frances was a charter member of Ballard First Missionary Baptist Church and circle of J.O.Y. and sang many years in the choir. Her days on earth were sweetened by gardening, cooking, her family and caregivers Keisha, Barbara and Heather.
Left to cherish her memory is a son Roger Spangler, and a daughter-in-love Lynda, a daughter, Drema Sibold and a son-in-love Wayne. Three grandchildren: Diana Christian and husband Eddie, Dewey Sibold and Lynne and Archie Spangler. Six great grandchildren: Katlin Forward, Zachary Christian, Ridge Sibold, Ragan Sibold, Austin Spangler and Cambria Spangler. One great great grandchild, Titus Forward and a church family she loved serving Christ with.
A celebration of Maude's life will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 3rd at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Steve Howdock and Wayne Sibold officiating. A time of fellowship with family and friends will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, today May 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
