Mary Kathryn Kidd, 95, of Salem, Virginia, formerly of Princeton, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Our Lady of the Valley Assisted Living in Roanoke.
Mary was born in Athens, West Virginia on January 31, 1922 to the late Elbert Lee and Bessie Alvis Oxley. She was a graduate of Athens High School and attended Mt. Jackson Baptist Church. She worked several years as a seamstress at Maidenform, Inc. in Princeton before the plant closed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kidd; three brothers, Elbert Oxley, John Oxley and Tom Oxley and three sisters, Mabel Oxley, Myrthie Ferguson, and Ruth Winfrey.
She is survived by one sister, Janice Atkinson of Salem, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews and granddaughter, Kristy Halsey.

Graveside services will be conducted at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Eugene Hazelwood officiating. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Tuesday.
