PRINCETON — Mary Kathryn Farmer, 67 of Nice Street Princeton, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born December 17, 1949 in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Stella Faye Ward.
Mary Kathryn was a graduate of Hinton High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & sister.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by 3 siblings; Howard Junior Ward, Glenna Ruth Wright & infant sister Virginia Carol.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest R. "Randy" Farmer Two sons, Tony Allen Scott & Edward Patrick LaPlante all of Princeton, Step Son, Joseph Jamie Farmer of Ghent, 8 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Seven siblings, Helen & Mike Rule of Peterstown, Bea & Jim Taylor, Deloris Young all of Beckley, Millie & Jim Nelson of Talcott, Jewell & Bob Bruce of Lewisburg, Charles Ward of Hinton, Carolyn & Danny Foster of Jumping Branch. A host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Willis Carr & Pete Dunford officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Friday from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
