Margaret Ann's Story
BLUEFIELD, WV Margaret Ann Bradley Cook, 88 of Bluefield died Tuesday May 23, 2017 at her home. Margaret was born March 13, 1929 in Bluefield and was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Willia Maddox Bradley. She grew up in College Ave. Baptist Church and later attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. In Margaret's early years she enjoyed being a part of the Bowling Club and worked as a payroll clerk at Appalachian Power Company where she met the love of her life and later married the late James Cook. After marriage Margaret became a homemaker being dedicated to her husband, girls and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers: Charles, James, Earl and Robert and sister: Genevieve Highlander.
Margaret is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth Booth and husband Ken of Bluefield and Sandra Price and husband Gary of Johnson City, TN; six grandchildren: Sydney Starnes and husband Ken of Johnson City, TN, Storm Price, Cassidy, Price and Savannah Price all of Johnson City, TN, Andrew Booth and wife Tabitha of Washington, Tiffany Booth of Roanoke, VA, two nieces and two nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 - 11 AM.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
