PRINCETON — Lola Plass (Pancratz), 89 of Princeton died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Princeton Community Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Dubuque, Iowa, September 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Pancratz and Clarabelle Weaver Pancratz.
Lola graduated from Iowa State College (University) in December 1948 with a BS degree in Institution Management. She worked as a nutritionist at the Mercer County Health Center and with the West Virginia Bureau for Public Health, Office of Nutrition Services.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Plass and sister, Betty Kollar.
Survivors include one son: Thomas (Tom) Plass and wife, Jean, of Princeton; two daughters, Jane Plass and Susan Plass, both of Princeton; three grandchildren, Stephanie Sparks and husband, Randy, of Princeton, Emily Lambert and husband, William, of Princeton, and Nathaniel Plass and fiance', Sarah Byrd, of Princeton; three great granddaughters, Natilee Plass, Stevie Sparks, and Ryann Lambert.
At the request of Lola, her body has been cremated. Private burial will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to a local food bank to feed a hungry child.
