PRINCETON — Latha Virginia Phillips, 87 of Princeton died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Glenwood Park Retirement Village.
Born on August 5, 1929 in Fireco, WV she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Shrewsbury and Maude Pearl Mann Shrewsbury.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Kyle Phillips, brother, Glenn Shrewsbury and three sisters, Lenna Simpson, Doris Platt and Lillian Henry.
Survivors include her son Danny L. Goins and his wife Zettie of Princeton. Grandchildren, Danny Goins, Jr., Joshua Goins and Jonathan Goins; Six Great Grandchildren; Two Step Children, Agnes Deel and Victor Phillips. Sister, Phyllis Shrewsbury of Charleston; Special Nieces, Diane Looney, Leann Chaffin, Jennifer Talerico and Adrian Looney; Special Nephew, Eddie Harmon.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Eddie Pettrey and Pastor Eddie Simpson officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service on Tuesday are requested to meet at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton by 10:45 AM.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
