PRINCETON June Ruth Baldwin Thompson, 95, of Princeton, died Monday, September 25, 2017. Born June 1, 1922 in Spanishburg, she was the daughter of the late Orley G. Baldwin and Edrie Blanche Farmer Baldwin.
Mrs. Thompson attended Shawnee Baptist Church in Spanishburg and was former secretary of the Home Demonstration Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raynard M. Thompson; her step-mother, Adele French Baldwin; nine sisters, Thelma Keys, Neva Davis, Mildred Dixon, Lois Warren, Blanche Mills, Virginia Wimmer, Nada Wimmer, Kella Bowden and Karen Baldwin; and two brothers, Ronald Baldwin and Kyle Baldwin.
Survivors include five children, Sandra Bish, Rita Minick, Colin Thompson, Jody Thompson and April Roland and husband Jon; three sisters, Della Pruett and husband Donald, Frances M. McKinney and husband Seibert and Deborah Adkins; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and thirteen great, great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Chris Richards officiating. Friends attending the service as asked to meet at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton by 12:45.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from noon until 12:45 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
