Jo Ann's Story
Jo Ann Lucas Mullins, 69 of Narrows passed away peacefully Monday, May 15th, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family.
A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born in Pearisburg on June 10th, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Raymond Herbert and Muriel Maxine French Lucas. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Burley Edward (Eddie) Mullins.
Jo Ann loved Jesus, her family and many friends. She would go out of her way many times to help others. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Jo Ann will be deeply missed. She was a retired employee of Celanese in Narrows with 34 years of service.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Renee' Mullins Harvey and husband Barry of Peterstown, and Kimberly Mullins Williams and husband Jeff of Richmond; four grandchildren, Chelsey Harvey, Austin Harvey, Brandon Harvey, and Miles Williams; two brothers, Steve Lucas of Narrows and Chuck Lucas and wife Jean of Lindside; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends, including her three loving cats, Windy, Charlie and Callie.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18th, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows with Evangelist Johnny M. Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.
