NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. — Jean Earleen Lawson, 77 of North Tazewell, VA, went home to be with her Lord Friday, April 7, 2017.
Born in Pounding Mill, VA, she was the daughter of the late John and Etta May Harris Quesenberry. She had retired after driving a school bus for 16 years. She was a great homemaker, she enjoyed living life and loved her animals. Jean was an avid flea marketer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William S. Lawson; sister: Phyllis Howington; an infant brother; and her children: Loretta May Lawson, David Allen Lawson, Johnny William Lawson, Carl Edward Lawson and Carolyn Lou Powers.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Melissa K. Buchanan and husband, Danny of North Tazewell, VA and her son: Mark Timothy Lawson also of North Tazewell, VA; grandchildren: Mark Timothy Lawson II, Sarah Marie Lawson, James Ambrose Lawson, Melissa Michelle Buchanan, William Samuel Powers and Christopher James Powers; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Jean's life will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Troy Bartley officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Mark Lawson, William Powers, Randy Carter, Bobby Lambert, Robert Hall and Kyle Hanna will serve as pallbearers.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
