James Anthony Deskins, 39, of Abbs Valley, VA, passed away and went home in the arms of angels on Monday, June 19th, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center, following a twenty-two year hard fought battle with Chrohn's Disease. James was a sports aficionado, and closely followed his two favorite teams, the Boston Celtics and the Washington Redskins. James, a child of the eighties, still loved the music, movies, and tv shows of the decade he was born in. He was also a sci-fi fan, and loved Star Wars and Batman.
James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Maye Deskins, and maternal grandmother, Marie Paynter.
His survivors include his parents, Martin and Norma Deskins of Abbs Valley, VA, and two brothers, Matthew Deskins and companion Amy McPherson, of Bluefield, WV, and Jonathan Deskins and wife Melissa, of Arcadia, NC.
