FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Jack E. Myer, Sr. age 76 of Fort Pierce, FL formerly of Richlands, VA passed away February 3, 2017 in Greenville, SC. He was born November 21, 1940 in Cedar Bluff, VA. He was a construction superintendent with Gulf Oil Company and Marriott Hotel Corporation. He loved hunting and fishing and was a Jack of all trades. He will be dearly missed.
Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine VanDyke Myer; one son, Jack E. Myer, Jr. and wife Sharon of Anderson, SC; one daughter, Christel Myer Denman and husband Sean of Fort Pierce, FL; one nephew, Craig Hunsaker and wife Melissa of Richlands, VA; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace Myer, Anna Myer, Audrey Myer, Kai Denman, Craig Denman, Gabe Hunsaker.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum #4 in Claypool Hill, VA with Pastor Randy VanDyke officiating. Casey Short VFW Post 9640 will conduct military rites. Pallbearers will be Jack E. Myer, Jr., Craig Hunsaker, Sean Denman, Randy VanDyke, Darren VanDyke, and Gabe Hunsaker.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the West Fork Presbyterian Church, 175 West Fork Rd., Richlands, VA 24641.
