PRINCETON — Harold Lee Owens, 64, of Princeton, WV, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017
at his home after a long illness. Born December 5, 1952 in Welch, WV, he was the son of Georgia Torres Owens of Keystone, WV, and the late Roy Lee Owens.
Harold was affiliated wit the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. He was proud Veteran of the United States Army. He had a great passion and dedication in pursuing and recording facts of his ancestry. Some of his other interest included the outdoors and motorcycles. He expressed great love for his three dogs that were his companions and family.
Other than his father, Harold was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents and one brother, Timmy Owens.
Survivors include: Mother, Georgia Torres Owens of Keystone, WV. Two sisters, Loiyresa Paulette Palmer and Pam Darlene Rhodes and husband Nathan al of Oakland, MD. Four nieces, Kathy Rhodes of Thomas, WV, Robin Rhodes of Oakland, MD, Sally Jean and Linda Cappet both of Moorefield, WV. Four nephews, Clifford Palmer, Roy Palmer, Donnie and Christophe Persiana. Also, a host of great nieces, nephews and a close friend, Jackson Blevins (J.B.).
Services will be conducted Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Widener Funeral Home Chapel in Northfork, WV, at 1: PM with Rev. Earl Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 12: Noon until the hour of service. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
