Gregory Paul Long, 49, of Ingleside Road, Princeton died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born March 5, 1968 in Princeton, he was the son of Franklin Paul Long & Sandra Sue Blankenship Long all of Princeton.
Greg served with the U.S. Army achieving the rank of SGT. For several years; he worked for Yokehama Tire Center in Salem VA. While his health permitted, he enjoyed traveling, woodworking and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by two siblings; Rebecca Sue Long & Angela Sue Long.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children; Ashley Long & Austin Long of Roanoke VA;
Two grandchildren Aiyanna Gore & Sophia Bradshaw; His former wife, Gina Long of Roanoke VA,
Four siblings: Larry & Kerry Long, Greta Long all of Princeton, Sherry & Brian Keffer of GA, Stephanie & Jimmy Curran of Montcalm, Sarah & Chris Long of Wilmington NC; Host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 12, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor David Barnette officiating. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery near Princeton with military honors given under the direction of the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
