Ernest (Butch)'s Story
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Ernest (Butch) Gene Lambert, Sr., age 67 of Fayetteville, NC, formerly of Tazewell, VA died April 3, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was born October 4, 1949 and was a son of the late Nelson and Gladys Lambert. He retired from Pounding Mill Quarry after 30 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Wilson; brothers, Andy Lambert and Albert (Junior) Lambert; grandson, Austin Lambert.
Those who survive to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Lambert of Fayetteville, NC; two sons, Gene Lambert, Jr. and Joey Lambert; one brother, Marvin Lambert; two step-children, Sonya Wisniewski and Michael Jones; three grandchildren, Isabella Lambert, Hunter Oakes and Ryley Lambert; four step- grandchildren, Breana, Tyler and Seth Wisniewski and Damien Jones; several other family members and friends also survive.
Funeral Services for Ernest (Butch) Gene Lambert, Sr. will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Rev. Kenneth Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow at Central Church Cemetery in Burkes Garden, VA. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017.
