Ella M. Anderson, 81, of Bluefield, formerly of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on January 28, 2017 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.
She was born in Ashland, West Virginia, April 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Roy Jones and Violet Prunty.
Ella attended Genoa & Park Central High School, Mercer County, Bluefield, WV. She was employed at Bluefield Sanitarium Hospital, later she moved to Brooklyn, NY. There she retired from King Brook Jewish
Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Ella was a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church for 47 years, she believe in helping others after retiring from work. Later Ella moved back to Bluefield, WV, with her son, Raymond Michael (Ginger) Trigg of Bluefield, WV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Jones, and Violet Prunty, four brothers, William, Donald,
Sam and James Jones, two sisters, Margaret Wilson and Alice Cox.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son: Raymond (Ginger) Trigg of Bluefield, WV; Two grandsons. Raymond II of Detroit, MI, and Cecil (Brandy) Trigg of Clinton TWP, Michigan; one great-great grandchild; one god son Chester Kelly, of Richmond, Va., one brother, Albert Jones, Sr., of Bluefield, WV, a special friend, Marlene Kelly,of Chesterfield, VA.; four sister-in-laws: Sandra Jones of Bluefield, WV; Yvonne Jones, of Charlotte, N.C, Joyce Madison of Prince George County, MD, and Brenda Clark of Ocala, FLA.,and a hosts of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church, Bluefield, WV., Officiating will be Bishop Clarence Moore and Rev. Robert L. Johnson. Friends may call one hour prior to services, Entombment, Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Rt. 20, Bluewell, WV.
