Eddie Dale Ratliff, age 35 of Raven, Virginia passed away passed on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at a local Richlands hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of Eddie Marvin and Judy Kay Baldwin Ratliff. Dale was known in his family as the #1 kid, grandbaby and nephew, he was the first born and everyone spoiled him. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School Class of 2000. He worked for the manufacturing company, Steel Fab near Lebanon, Virginia. Dale was a loving and caring father, he loved to spend as much times with his sons as possible and watch them play ball. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent a lot time hunting and fishing and he loved to tinker with different things. He was very well known for his outgoing personality, he never knew a stranger. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ted and Pansy Baldwin and his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Betty Ratliff and his aunt, Barbara Greene.
Those who remain to carry on his loving spirit are: His parents, Eddie M. and Judy Kay Baldwin Ratliff of Swords Creek, VA. Sons, Brennon Lane Ratliff and Hunter Peyton Ratliff both of Raven, VA. Sister, Bailey Noelle Ratliff of Swords Creek, VA. Brother, Ben Colby Ratliff of Swords Creek, VA. Companion, Trista Joyce of Raven, VA. Canine companion, Gemma. Several, aunts, uncles, cousins and family also survive him along with a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 7:00pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Word of Victory Ministries in Elk Garden with the Rev. Rod Wicker officiating.
