Donald Louis Crisco, age 86, of College Avenue, Bluefield, WV died on Friday, May 12, 2017 at his home.
Born on April 13, 1931 in Brushfork, WV, he was a son of the late Adam McKinley and Minnie Elizabeth Davis Crisco. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US Army. He was the recipient of 2 Purple Hearts. He loved the great outdoors and all animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Barnett Crisco; a sister, Evelyn; and brothers, Calvin, Orrin Lee, Marion and Wayne Crisco.
Survivors include: Son: John "Skip" Lashure of Chatsworth, GA. Daughter: Elizabeth Crisco of the home. Sisters: Elizabeth Simmons and Glenna Vance. Grandchildren: Lonnie Lashure of Ft. Dodge, IA, Donna Lynn Broome of SC, Kurt and Kevin Lashure of St. Anne, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. The Bluefield Virginia VFW Post 9696 will be performing military graveside honors.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00 until the time of service.
