PRINCETON — Dianna McClung, 72, of Princeton died Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Born July 29, 1944 at Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Edgar Roland Griffith and Pemmel Mae Cox Griffith.
She attended Church of Christ in Princeton. Dianna received her Master's Degree in elementary education and retired from Ceres Elementary School. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Gene David Carter and brother Edward Roland Griffith.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Desi Lee McClung; sister, Pemmell Darlene Walls of Speedway; brother, Dennis Lloyd Griffith and wife Rita of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Mistie Dawn Short and husband Michael of Southern Pines, NC, Tye Daniel Carter of Princeton and Lilly Dianna Carter of Princeton; two great grandsons, Carter Shawn White and Noah Conner Short both of Southern Pines, NC.
Friends may visit with the family from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be at a later date at the Cox Family Cemetery at Lerona.
