Daphna Pigg Arrington, 97, of Princeton died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at her residence. Born September 27, 1919 in McComas, she was one of two daughters born to the late W.F. and Maggie Booth Pigg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H.W. Arrington; one son, Wayne Arrington; and one sister, Creola Wood.
She is survived by five grandchildren, Beverly Walker and husband Scott of Wytheville, VA, Wayne "Pete" Arrington, Jr. of Mocksville, NC, Henry "Bill" Arrington and wife Teresa of Princeton, Lisa Kelly Rich and husband Todd of Greensboro, NC, and Joseph Arrington of Princeton who was his grandmother's caregiver for the past seven years; seven great-grandchildren, Victor L. Allen, III, Michael W. Allen, Ashley Lowe, Jessica Arrington, Megan Arrington Harvey, Jason Arrington, and Kaitlyn M. Arrington; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Reverend Carl Van Stavern officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pallbearers will be Bill Arrington, Victor Allen, III, Michael Allen, Joseph Arrington, and Todd Rich.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour Thursday.
