PRINCETON — 87, of Princeton died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his residence. Born November 28, 1929, in Superior, WV, he was the son of the late Norman L. Barker and Ossie Jackson Swim.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local #132.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the V.F.W. Raymond was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War serving from 1951 - 1953.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Norman L. Barker, Jr. He is survived by his wife Cecelia L. Solomon Barker of Princeton; daughter, Tracy J. Barker of Princeton; son, Raymond Scott Barker and wife Tanya of Princeton; grandson, Bronson Scott Barker; and brother, William F. Barker and wife Patricia of Beattyville, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017, at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Minister Rod Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the WV National Guard Honor Guard.
