Charles Edgar's Story
Charles "Shorty" Cochran, Jr., 35 of Princeton died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his residence.
Born September 3, 1981 in Princeton, he was the son of Leah Thacker and the late Charles E. Cochran, Sr. He was a dedicated construction worker and enjoyed spending time with friends he considered family.
He is survived by his mother; children, Patrick and Payton Farmer; step-mother, with whom he made his home, Letha Mills; half-brothers, Delano "Dino" Sweeney and Chris Sweeney; step-sisters, Sarah Holdren and husband Joseph, and Tina Sterns and husband Jamie; mother of his children, Patricia Farmer; special nieces, Donna Simmons and wife Rebecca; special nephew, Gene Carter; and several additional nieces, nephews, and special friends including Pete Wade of Princeton.
In honoring Shorty's wishes he has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Speedway Community Baptist Church, 331 Gospel Tabernacle Road, Athens, WV with Reverend Rex Burgess officiating.
