Carleen Haun Yost, 83, died peacefully on Friday, January 27th after a short illness. She was a lifelong resident of Bluefield, West Virginia and was residing in Huntington, WV at the time of her death.
She was born June 13th, 1933 in Bluefield and the daughter of the late Frank and Ibb Haun also of Bluefield.
She is survived by her children Glenn Yost (Gena) of Huntington, WV, Dana Payne (Ron) of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Mike Yost (Debra) of Jacksonville, WV. She is also survived by grandchildren Jennifer Williams, Amber Coffee, John Yost and Kelly Yost all of whom she dearly loved; great grandchildren are Levi Williams, Jazalyn Coffee and Mya Coffee; brother: Jim Haun of Princeton, WV.
During her life, Carleen was an avid and accomplished bowler at Mountaineer Lanes in Bluefield. She worked for many years as the treasurer of Haun Motors whom her father founded during the late 1950's. She enjoyed cross stitch, knitting, games on the internet, and black jack at the Casino. But what meant the most to her was cooking and spending time with her family. She will be sorely missed by her family and all of her many friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, VA with Pastor Randy Gilliam officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.
