PRINCETON — Bundy Russell Dye, 88, of Willeva Road, Princeton, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born August 4, 1928, in Drill, VA, he was the son of the late Dewey and Rosena Perkins Dye.
Bundy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who loved the Lord.
Mr. Dye worked in construction for many years as a Dry Wall Specialist and was a former coal miner. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Bundy was a member and former pastor of the Lakeview Presbyterian Church at Lake Bottom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Eula Mae Dye, one son Jerry R. Dye and seven siblings.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving children: Katherine Browning, Audra Giberson and husband Walter, both of Princeton, Edward Dye and wife Lisa of Charleston and Mark Dye of Spanishburg; Siblings: Betty Sumner of Ohio, Finley "Pete" Dye and wife Lucy and Bill Dye both of New York; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 3, 2017, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Rodney Lawson and Mark Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Garden in Princeton with military graveside rites provided by the Mercer County Honor Guard.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday, from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
