BLUEFIELD Buddy Wesley Jones Sr., 80, of Windy Oaks Drive, Bluefield, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his home.
Born September 3, 1936 at Rolfe, he was the son of the late Sam Jones and Ernestine Brown Jones.
Buddy was a retired mine boss with United Poca, having worked at Crumpler & Algoma. In his spare time, Buddy was a collector & restorer of old cars with one El Camino in his garage. He loved going to the beach, 4 wheeling and hunting.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings: Bill, Helen, Juanita & Mae.
Those left to cherish his memory, his loving wife Pamela Jean Brock Jones, three children: Buddy W. Jones Jr. & wife Candy, Mark Wayne Jones all of Crumpler, Kelli Ann Jones Pennington & husband Jason Matthew of Princeton. Two brothers, Sam Jones of Princeton and Bobby Jones of Beckley. Four grandchildren including his special buddy Rylan. A host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 6:00 P.M. Monday, June 12, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Roger Lafferty officiating.
Friends may visit with the family Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
The family has honored Buddy's request, his body has been cremated.
