NARROWS Betty Scott Pillow, 87 of Narrows gained her Heavenly reward Sunday, October 1st, 2017.
She was born in Corrine, Wyoming County, West Virginia on October 11th, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Earnest and Catherine Williams Scott. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a longtime companion, Charles (Corky) Frazier; a granddaughter-in-law, Amy Sue Collins; a brother, Wayne B. Smith; and a special grandmother, Mattie Williams.
Betty was a faithful member of Glen Lyn Church of Christ, a volunteer at Heritage Hall in Rich Creek, a special caregiver to a special niece, Martha Blaker, a breast cancer survivor since 1993, and a longtime Giles County Relay for Life participant.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Cindy Powell Guinn and husband Bob of Narrows; five grandchildren, Andy Collins and wife Lisa of Morgantown, West Virginia, Matthew Collins and wife Sherry of Radford, Martie Miller of Pearisburg, Allen Powell and wife Susie of Hopewell, and Angie Burroughs and husband Mike of Buena Vista; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alanna, Lyndsay, Olivia, Seth, Lauren, Hannah, Zachary and Emma; a great-great grandson, Connor; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 5th, 2017 at 11 AM at Glen Lyn Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows.
