Bernice Jean's Story

PRINCETON Bernice Jean Fry Bolton, 83, of Princeton, went peacefully into the arms of God on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Born July 25, 1933 in Matoaka, WV, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Thelma Hawks Fry.
She worked as a Lab Technician in Welch, WV then Princeton Memorial and with Lab Corp.
Mrs. Bolton was a faithful member of the Kee Street United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was a member of the Ruth Byrd Circle and worked at many of the church functions. Bernice loved to paint with water colors and was a member of the Appalachian Artist Association for several years.
She loved gardening, growing flowers, watching and feeding the birds. Bernice loved her son, her family, her Lord, her church family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest R. Bolton.
She is survived by her loving son, Thomas W. Bolton. Siblings: Carroll (Hoover) Fry & wife Zylpha, Dwight W. Fry & wife Mary, Sarah Fry Cahill & husband Jim, James W. Fry, Jr. & wife Fran; Host of nieces and nephews. Special friend, Joyce Martens and also her church family.
Services to celebrate the life of Bernice Bolton will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 6, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Ray Stonestreet and Mike Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. Those wishing to attend are requested to be at the funeral no later than 9:30 A.M.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
