Arthur's Story

Arthur Thomas Dye, Jr., 59 of Monroe, VA went to rest on God's mountain Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his home.
Born March 1, 1958 in Prince William County, VA, he was a son of the late Arthur Thomas Dye, Sr. and Mollie Victoria Baker Dye. He worked 18 years for Lynchburg Steel. He was a bluegrass musician, civil war historian, an avid fisherman, NASCAR fan, and was a hot rod enthusiast. He loved his family greatly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Daniel Dye; brothers, John Thomas Dye, Carllee Dye, and Robert Dye; sisters, Letha Thomas, Norma Camron, Margie Mullins, and Pauline Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife, Robin A. Dye; son, Mickie T. Dye and Alice of Front Royal, VA; daughter, Jada Ann Stout and husband, Tommy of Tazewell, VA; brother, Oscar Dye of Amherst, VA; sister, Sissy Blackburn of Bealeton, VA; five grandchildren, Jarrett Hager, Kaitlynn Stout, Cheyenne Dye, Montana Dye, and Steven Stout.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2 PM Friday, July 14, 2017 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with Pastor Arnold Marrs officiating. Burial will follow at Brewsterdale Cemetery at Brewsterdale, WV. Pallbearers are Jarrett Hager, Mickey Dye, Steven Stout, Roger Dye, and Joshua Gilbert.
