Anthony's Story

Anthony Ray Patrick, age 27 of North Tazewell, VA died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his home. He was born February 23, 1990 in Kendallville, IN and was a son of Larry Ray Patrick and wife, Shelly Sue of Rome City, IN and Ellen Whitt Browning and husband, Ivan of Tazewell, VA. Anthony was a vivid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee keeping, camping, OCR Racing and spending time with his family. Mr. Patrick was employed as a mechanic with Peery Repair Service in North Tazewell, VA.
In addition to his father and mother, those who survive to cherish his memory include his loving wife of seven years, Jennifer Marie Patrick; two children, Jaden Alexsis Gentry and Wyatt Anthony Patrick, both of the home; one sister, Frankey Muncy and husband, Daniel of Squire, WV; one step-sister, Kelsey Nicole Roberson of Evansville, IN; two step-brothers, Jared Allen Browning of Bloomington, IN and Joshua Armitage of Rome City, IN; nieces and nephews, Lilliana Muncy, Ivan Muncy, Ella Marie Armitage and Sarana Armitage; many other family members and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with the Rev. Donnie Patrick and his father, the Rev. Larry Patrick officiating.
Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, VA. Pallbearers will be Dave Remines, Keith Knipper, Jacob Patrick, Arthur Patrick, Derek Robinson, and Garrett Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Casey, Donald Robinson, Glen Patrick, Jr., Jaden Gentry and Wyatt Patrick.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 - 9 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017.
A memorial service for Anthony will be conducted in Rome City, IN at a later date.
