Amelia Irene's Story
BANDY, Va. — Amelia Irene Rasnake Sizemore, age 91 of Bandy, Virginia was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Russell County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Rasnick and Roselea Sutherland Smith. She was a retired manager and head biscuit maker of Hardees. Amelia loved to spend time gardening, cooking, baking, quilting and working in flowers. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. She attended the Tazewell Family Worship and was lifetime resident of Tazewell County.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Sizemore; son, Ronnie Rasnake,; sisters, Pauline Rasnake, Nadine Rasnake, Dorothy Rasnake; brother, Billy Rasnake.

Her daughters: Shelia Gay Britton of Tazewell, VA. Joan Dalton and husband, Phillip of Talbott, TN.
Son, Eddie A. Rasnake of Mt. Washington, KY. Brother, Arnold Bo Rasnick and wife, Sue of Baptist Valley, VA. 9 Grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Amelia Irene Rasnake Sizemore will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with the Rev. Lawrence Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday morning form 10:00 till time of service at 11:00.
