William Dale's Story
William Dale "Bill" Estep, 76, of Princeton died peacefully Monday, December 11, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital with his family at his side.
Born March 18,1941 in McDowell County, he was the son of the late Lawson W. Estep & Elizabeth Ratliff Estep.
Bill was a graduate of Iaeger High School and received his B.A. Degree from Bluefield State College. He was a former school teacher, worked for Concord College Alumni Association, retired from UPS with 20 years of service. Bill had also worked for the State of WV with the ABC Commission.
He was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church on the New Hope Road in Princeton. While his health permitted, he loved tinkering with old cars, working in the garden and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gail Smith Estep, three children, Lora Linger of St. Albans; Lisa Bruer and husband Kevin of Cross Lanes, William Dale Estep II of Princeton. Seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Andrew "Drew", Marie, Zachary, Chris, Sydney, Anna and Isaiah; Five great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, Penny, Erika, Abi and Jaxson. Four siblings, Harold and Jane Estep: Roger and Judy Estep; Larry and Susan Estep; Beth and Danny Belcher and a host of nieces and nephews.
A service of celebration will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2017 from the Immanuel Baptist Church on the New Hope Road in Princeton with Pastor Dr. Dan Jividen officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Estep, Kevin Bruer, Drew Linger, Zackary and Chris Bruer, Erik Ollom and Jerry Davis, Stanley Blankenship and Jeff Smith will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The Estep family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
