William A.'s Story
William A. "Bill" Clark, 70 of Princeton died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Mercer Nursing and Rehab in Bluefield. Born February 8, 1948 he was the son of the late William B. and Florence Stanley Clark.
Bill retired from the maintenance Department of the Mercer County School System last working at Oakvale School. He was a member of the Princeton Church of God. Bill was a knowledgeable hunter and fisherman and enjoyed leading small groups to help them bag their game of choice.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Linda Marshall Clark; three sisters, Joyce Faye Roark and infant twins Geneva and Juanita and one brother, Ronnie Lee Clark.
Survivors include two daughters, Shauna L. Thompson and husband Joshua and Erin M. Clark all of Princeton; two grandsons, Jakob and Jaxon; one sister, Samia Morrison and her husband Wayne of Bluewell; two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Clark and wife Kay of Christiansburg, VA and Kenneth L. Clark and wife Bobbie of Rural Retreat, VA; brother-in-law, Leon Roark of Rural Retreat and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Bill will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor David Hercey officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon to the service hour on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 921 West Neville St., Beckley, WV 25801, in memory of his late wife of 31 years, Linda Marshall Clark.
