Wanda's Story

Wanda Dorene Rowe, 78, of Princeton went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born September 22, 1939 in Rockridge, WV she was the daughter of the late Rev. Roscoe Rowe and Eliza Christian Rowe. Wanda was a member of the Princeton Church of Christ. She loved music, singing, spending time with family and friends and especially listening to the gospel.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Powell, Gertrude Mullins, and Melda Rowe; and two brothers, Otho Rowe and Melvin Rowe.
Left to cherish her memory is her stepmother, Elouise Rowe of Princeton; sisters, Dosie Branscome of Princeton (with whom she made her home and provided wonderful care of Wanda the past eleven years), Vada Dale of Mt. Pocono, PA, and Ada Long and husband Darrell of Jolo, WV. Wanda was also blessed to be an aunt, great aunt, and great great aunt to many who loved her very much.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wanda's medical staff, her home aides, and especially Princeton Rescue Squad.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral home in Princeton with Pastor Gary Durham officiating.
Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
