Wada Lucia's Story
PRINCETON Wada Lucia Crawford Blizzard, 88, of Princeton, died peacefully Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born March 3, 1929 in McComas, she was the daughter of the late Marshall & Ora Hall Crawford.
Educated in McComas, Wada worked alongside her husband Kermit as they built there business in addition to being a loving mother and caretaker for her mother and family.
She was a member of the Cumberland Heights Baptist Church in Bluefield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death sisters Violet Gaither & husband Reginald, Marie Conner & husband Ray, brother Jack Crawford & wife Margie along with a daughter in law, Vicki Blizzard and a great granddaughter Macey Whittaker.
Those left to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband whom she married on July 9, 1949 in Bluefield, Floyd Kermit Blizzard, son Barry Blizzard & wife Jill of Princeton, granddaughters Aimee Bolton & husband Jeff, Emilie Whittaker & husband Garret, all of Princeton, five great grandchildren Gavin, Hudson & Zoe Bolton, Ellie and Jace Whittaker.
Services to celebrate the wonderful life of Wada Lucia Blizzard will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 30, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jim Kestner officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Wildwood Mausoleum, Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Monday from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
