Violet Beatrice Farmer

Violet Beatrice Farmer, 94, of Union Drive Princeton, died peacefully Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Mercer Nursing and Rehab Center in Bluefield.
Born April 1, 1924 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln and Ada Wolfe Looney Ferguson.
Mrs. Farmer loved to work in her flower garden, but most of all, she loved her family. She had worked as a cook for the Holiday Inn's of Bluefield and Princeton as well as
Johnston's Inn in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Dallas and Dale Hylton.
Surviving are her husband, Willard Farmer; Nine children and their spouses, Peggy and Sonny Ward, Janet Hoops, Larry and Ginger Hylton, Pam and Butch Juba, Randall and Donna Hylton, Wayne and Sandy Hylton, Lenora and Randy King, Darlene and Allen Brinkley, and Lisa Hylton; Daughter-in-law, Murriel Hylton; Three step-sons, David, Steve and Tim Farmer; 82 grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road with Pastor David Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Friday (today), from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
