MATOAKA Thomas Eugene Pitzer, 55, of Mercer Avenue, Matoaka, died suddenly Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at his home.
Born August 15, 1961 in Princeton, he was the son of Ray Jackson Pitzer Sr. of Green Valley and the late Della Mae Thomas Pitzer.
While his health permitted, Mr. Pitzer was a diesel mechanic working on heavy equipment, having worked for Ken Carter Engines in Green Valley. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and horses, but most of all his three grandchildren whom he loved and adored with all his heart.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Jackson "Fat Jack" Pitzer Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory, his devoted and caring wife of 37 years, Amy Maria Elkins Pitzer; His son, Robert Lee Pitzer & wife Kellie of Princeton; Three grandchildren who loved their papaw, Jordyn, Wyatt "Bubby" & Katie Mae; His father Ray and his wife Georgia of Green Valley; Sister, Sally Beatrice Carter of Green Valley and a niece Raylee & nephew Ryan; Sister-in-law, Rose Pitzer and her children Ben & Tonya all of Princeton.
The family has honored Mr. Pitzer's request, his body has been cremated.
There will be no services or visitation.
